Which spark plug is better: OEM or aftermarket?
I am planning to change my spark plugs on both my 1999 civic and 2002 dodge neon. I heard that Honda OEM is the best, but how about Dodge Neon?
I have had good luck with Bosch up to plus 4 spark plugs. The more platinum the better the spark plug. If the car burns oil is running rich the bigger the electrode the better ( the electrode is at the bottom of the spark plug, its the little metal that is out side the insulator. The bigger the electrode the bigger the area to aviod getting fouled by oil or covered in carbon from running rich gas flow). Plus if you watch Bosch usually comes out with a rebate on the plugs.
NGK, the plugs the car came with have a special groove in the electrode to increase the size of the spartk and is unique in all the spark plugs I have used in over 30 years.
I would reccomend changing your distributor cap/rotor and spark plug wires. The distributor cap/rotor wear out. And no matter how good your spark plugs are they still need the electricity to spark provided from the distributor cap/rotor. Newer spark plug wires provide less resistance and better performance transferring the electrcity from the distributor cap/rotor.

The quest for better auto technology which will reduce the dependency of the global auto industry on fossil fuel is going full blast. Different industries have been working together to develop green and eco-friendly cars.
Another success on the war against global warming is the recent contract awarded to Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. to develop plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. The contract is worth $2.1 million and this came from California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District.
The contract is for quantum to develop 20 plug-in versions of the Ford Escape which will be used for demonstration in Southern California.
Quantum is expected to use their OEM system engineering and vehicle integration systems to create a plug-in version of the 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. What they would accomplish hopefully is a hybrid vehicle that can be recharged via a common household outlet thus making the hybrid more convenient to recharge.
Quantum will also be integrating a Lithium-ion battery pack and a management system from their partner Advanced Lithium Power Inc. The use of Li-ion is favored since it packs more power than the traditional Ni-MH batteries. The Li-ion battery pack will also weigh less which then means that the engine and the electric motor will drive a significantly lighter car than one using a Ni-MH battery pack.
The plug-in hybrid vehicle that Quantum hopes to develop will have a range of 35 to 40 miles on battery power alone. This means that the battery itself can take over the most of power production needed to drive the car. The Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles which Quantum hopes to produce will also be subjected to crash tests, fuel mileage, and emission tests just like conventional vehicles. These tests are needed to ensure that the completed plug-in hybrids will be safe, reliable, and the performance is not compromised.
Quantum’s appreciation of the contract is expressed on Quantum President and Chief Executive Officer Alan P. Niedzwiecki’s statement. “This contract supports Quantum's strategic initiatives in hybrid electric vehicles and complements our growing product portfolio of advanced vehicle propulsion systems. Quantum is pleased to have been selected by the AQMD to supply plug-in hybrid Ford Escapes for their innovative program that will reduce smog-forming pollutants, reduce global warming emissions, and reduce fossil fuel consumption in Southern California. We believe that these plug-in hybrid vehicles and ALP's advanced lithium ion battery systems represent important technologies which address the critical national issues of energy security and global warming with an enormous potential to penetrate into today's hybrid electric vehicle market."
The development of these plug-in hybrid vehicles will be a great leap forward for the auto industry’s drive to combat global warming. The vehicles that will be developed will be just like a Nissan clutch master cylinder where the pressure starts for other components to function. The same can be said for the plug-in Ford Escape hybrid vehicles which will usher in the possibility of mass production of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.

Yeah you can do that no problem. It just means the license is for it to b eput on a new computer system but there's no way of knowing anyway. Everyone I know who's buys computer stuff gets oem. Also you won't get the manuals.
Re the OS thing, yes Windows XP is the best Windows OS in my opinion. It 'just works' in a way that vista and windows 7 (what a heap of crap) don't, and it's much faster. Also seriously take a look at ubuntu linux. You can use 'mac4lin' to make ubuntu look and feel like MacOSx legally without any cost. (take a look on youtube)
