Are these good suggestions for my car?

I have an 02 Chevy Cavalier and I hope to keep it for quite awhile seeing how I'm in college and won't be able to get that high paying job I want right now. So far I done the following....

1. Switched to full synthetic oil (I have noticed a positive rpm difference)
2. Use Fram Tough Guard oil filters
3. Use a bottle of Techron fuel additive every 3000 miles.

Here's what I have planned:
1. Install Bosch Iridium 4x spark plugs with the 4 prongs at the top
2. Install a performance wire set for the spark plugs
3. Put on a performance muffler. (Not a fart can, just one that doesn't have rust holes starting)
4. Replace standard air filter with K&N high flow (Not a short ram or cold air intake)

I agree with alot of your decisions, except I have had really good luck using Lucas fuel system additive. I pick up close to 2mpg increase when I use it in my C1500.
A couple things to watch out for on your Cavalier. It has a 2.2L 4cyl. engine that is known to have problems with the head gaskets. This can be visually inspected, by looking at the base of the cylinder head, where it mets the block, at both front corners(front meaning radiator), if there is any leakage it will be visible. The other, is the Idle air control valve. It's a computer controlled choke, and can get carboned up, restricting the idle air flow and giving a hesitation or stumble on acceleration. Cleaning it with a Throttlebody cleaner, not a carb. cleaner, it needs to be O2 sensor safe, can increase performance as well as fuel economy.
As for the spark plugs, AC Delco uridiums aren't as expensive, but are an excellence choice.
What ever you do to the exhaust is always an improvement, but don't remove the catalytic converter, this not only is illegal, but it will cause all kinds of driveability problems.
Hope this helps in your decision as to what parts to use. Buckle up and happy motoring, Christopher

warning: the following application of a hygiene product is both clever and VERY disgusting...curious?

It works best for students....i have not tried....I think the person is BS'n me but here goes.....For long classes, and especially after eating at Taco Bell, use a tampon to act as both a muffler and shart guard for expensive undies.....supposedly a fart makes no sound once the tampon is "installed".....looking for feedback without empirical self-testing on my part.....hey....I warned ya at least......
I am not fizzdude

It acts as a silencer
