The fact that they “say” it is a MMO does not make it so. That is like calling a golf cart a car, yeah they both have an engine and 4 wheels and a roof but that still does not make a golf cart a car.
Planetside and WWIIOnline are the only two games legitimately in this genre. (that are still active)
For me I just used a 240watt panel, 4 6v golf cart batteries wired into a serial and parallel arrangement giving me a lot of amps storage and a 12 volt current that I could run directly to my trailer as it has 12 volt circuits built into it for lighting and a couple of “cigarette lighter” style outlets in the trailer for connecting an inverter to charge my laptop and run various miscellaneous stuff. I should have gotten more batteries two more would have been perfect. See on a sunny day I could even run the AC because the drain was about the same pull as what the panel was charging the batteries to so it balanced out. But if I ran anything else I would start to discharge. You should read up on the subject. But a quick rundown on their various life expectancy is like this. They are usually warranted for about 20-25 years depending on the model. They say that the panel will still be X percent efficient (usually 95-90 percent) at the end of the warranty life if not they will replace it. The total price of my solar rig was around $2500. My electric bill back in Babylon was around 200 bucks a month. 12X200 equals 2400. So for the price of a years electricity I was about to put together a solar rig that suited my spartan needs. Also these solar rigs are expandable. Another element in the rig is the charge controlled and mine is a very expensive/top of the line. It cost me about 600 bucks. I can handle quite a bit more load I could easily add 2-4 more batteries and at least two more 240watt panels to this system and get enough power to start running heat and air whenever I want also to power a large screen tv (but I hate tv) or a big fat gamer rig. The only problem I see is coming from inverters. You need an inverter too and those cheap ass modified sign wave inverters are made in china and they are bullshit. You need a true sign wave inverter and those aint cheap especially when you get up to the higher wattages. If you really want to understand power generation and usage I believe you have to scale back your lifestyle some. Especially for a year or so just to understand that you can live with a lot less creature comfort/convenience than you realize. The whole rest of the world has to get by on less, why shouldn’t an american?
