charger only reads 5 amps and is not charging the batteries
Sounds like you made need a Battery Life Saver desulfator.
You can call them at (727) 446-8400
first thing Saturday morning and see if your battery is compatible with the desulfator. (most golf cart battery's are).
They can ship you one overnight, and you can install it in about 5 minutes on sunday morning, and you will be all set.

how do i charge a club car without a charger?
i have a ez go golf cart but the charger does not work i was wondering if there was a way to charge it without the charger, i tried using a car battery charger but it didnt seem to work
you can individually charge each battery with a regular battery charger (unhook them first of course), or, get on eBay or something and you can buy a used one at a decent price. GOOD LUCK!
