Should I get a Electric golf cart or gas?
Which one will run longer? Its gonna be ridden around a town home complex It will sometimes be driven on a golf course. Remember I give best answer. thanks in advance:) Also do you think that this website is a scam? http://www.valleycarts.com/
I work as maintenance so it will be driven around the complex as I said before.
The websit appears to be legitimate. As far as gas vs. electric there is a little bit more maintenance in the gas powered models such as changing oil and oil filter air filter and fuel filter. The maintenance for the electric models are that they have to be charged for approx 5 hours for every 8 hours of runtime. if the batteries go dead it takes at least an hour to get it to move again due to saftey mechanisms to prevent to high of amperage burning up the motor. If a gas burner runs out of gas all you have to do is add fuel and choke it to start it.
I prefer a gas burner.
When (not if) the batteries quit taking a charge it cost about $1000-1200 to replace the batteries and the charger (which is recommended)
