i have an ez go golf that im trying to install a radio in, i have installed a seperate battery for it to run off of but i dont want to hook it up to the ignition switch how do i do that
The idea of golf is a quite sport, or is this your transportation around your retirement property?
connect your hot and negative wires to 2 connecting batteries. golf cart batteries are 6 volts each, connected in series to make 36 volts. So 2 batteries make 12 volt. No need to add another battery. If you add another battery you need a separate battery charger for that battery
If you are running a gas engine on your golf cart, just connect to that battery, it is charged with the operation of the engine.
as far as getting around the ignition switch just hook up the wires direct to the battery or batteries.
The radio has it's own on-off switch like all radios do.
