Electric Brake Control

Can I tow a camper trailer that weight 6210 uvw with a 1997 chevy suburban 1500?
I have a 1997 chevy suburban with a 5.7 Liter vortex engine, and I have a 34' Forest River Cherokee camper that weight 6210 uvw. I haver a weight distribution package and a sway control and also electric brakes, I was just wondering will this be too much weight to carry safely with this type of vehicle.
This is going to be a tough one.The max towing on the 1997 suburban with the 5.7 liter engine is 6000 lbs.The weight distribution hitch is going to be a big plus.Just for safety sake you should talk to one of local towing companys. For no other reason just to make sure the tow is not going to damage the engine or drive train.Best of luck.

Brakes are hydraulic, not electric, so this button almost certainly isn’t to control the brakes. It’d take far more effort to install an electric brake system than to simply fix the hydraulics.
