Dash Instrument Panel
Dash Instrument Panel

Why don't my dash lights work on my 2001 Honda Civix LX?
My son installed a new stereo and now none of the dash lights work (not on the instrument panel, not on the stereo, and not on the climate control). We even put the old radio back in checked all of the fuses under the hood and on the drivers side (above the gas pedal). Could he have maybe pulled a wire out? Any idea what we should check next?
Thanks,
Eric
It sounds like a fuse.
Look under the steering wheel on the right side (if you are sitting in the car driving, driver side = left, passenger side = right) for the fuse box.
You will need to remove a little plastic covering by twisting 2 knobs and it hangs down and you can remove it. Then the black bottom cover piece can come off. This will show you the little black box where all the fuses are.
Take the cover off the fuse box, and look on its "lid". It will show what fuse controls the dash lights. Pull that fuse and check it to see if it is blown. If it is, replace it.
If you havent done this before, there should be some spares in there already. On the lid if nothing is written in the descriptive area, and there is a fuse there, it is a spare. Always replace the blown fuse with a fuse of *equal* value. Less and it will blow more often, and more it wont blow when it should leading to electrical problems.
Good Luck!

I hit a deer with my 1998 dodge ram 1500 and ever since my instrument panel is messed up the speedometer, fuel?
gauge, oil pressure is completely dead and my gas gauge keeps turning off and on. I think my engine light stays on too. Also my odometer blinks off and on and is stuck on the mileage i had before i hit the deer. Does anyone know what the problem may be. i've heard that maybe it's a fuse. (I checked the ones inside the truck but not under the hood) Someone else said it could be the body module or that cicuit board under the dash could be dead. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I would venture to say that you may have a computer error. I recommend having it scanned at a reputable (Dodge) dealer and going from there.

same WF. Also, a rising market on low volume with VIX going lower at these extremes is setting up for a sudden drop imo. I would think there would be more put buying to protect profits. Great time to pull the rug out…on the other side, the excesses of liquidity are trumping everything and giving a skewed understanding of our instrument panel. Divergences abound and yet we continue to climb. It will end tho, the question is when…
