What should I pack when I go to Paris for two weeks?
the trip includes visiting paris, rome, venice, pompeii etc. i already know all the basic things to pack, but what are things that just make every trip a little more entertaining and better. ex. a money belt and plug converter is needed...what else would be needed?
Money Belt? What for?
As you are travelling around QUITE a bit in Europe, you definite want to have one of these blow-up cushions for the neck (the one with that look the an U) as you will spend LOTS of time in either a Bus or a plane -> both very uncomfortable.
Plug converter sure. Books on your way in, buy/exchange later and you properly drop them later anyway as you want to have the weight/space for presents. Ipod good idea, camera a must, you spend more time in Italy so a phrase book would be a good idea (see link). I assume its a guided tour, if not LONELY PLANET is a must. Everything you can buy in the US or OZ you'll get in Europe everywhere. You properly need some shoes that make walking easy (high heels is not such a good idea) but don't forget to pack something nice for the night out.
Depending on WHEN, you want to have a either a hat (Sun) or a jumper.
Be aware that Rome and Paris (Rome more then everything Else) are full of scam-bags that want to sell u a lot of gap. Don't buy on the streets.
Money Belts -> Leave the money in the hotel save (standard in most hotels) and take what you need for the day. Use Credit cards for bigger purchases. Tourist with Money Belts etc. are PRIME targets. The Cities you mentioned are considered "save" as long as you stay out of the bad areas, which are far away from the tourist spots.
