Charging Electric Golf Cart Batteries

Electric Golf Cart questions?
I have a 36 volt EZ Go Golf Cart. Its REALLY old (Like 20 years), but it still runs, and I was wondering how long will it take for all 6 batteries to get fully charged if the batteries where completely dead? Also, how long do they normally last on a full charge?
I would appreciate any responses. thx
Normally a full charge will take 12 hours. You should check the battery water level as golf cart batteries usually have caps you can unscrew and add water to them. This must be done on occasion to insure proper battery charging works.

I am looking into buying an electric car and need suggestions?
I am a college student who does not want to deal with the hassle of owning and operating an actual car anymore, and I was thinking of buying one of those small golf-cart type electric cars.
Does anybody have any suggestions on where I could find a good one? The cheaper, the better, I am on a very tight budget (that's why I'm thinking of buying one in the first place). I also need a model where I can take the battery out and charge it in my dorm room, because there's no way to charge it in the parking lot. Also, I need something that is legal to drive on roads with 40mph speed limits (I shouldn't ever be driving it on a faster road I don't think)
I am not aware of electric CARS cheaper than the Zap Xebra which run approximately $10-11,000 and require proximity to an electrical outlet. You could check with your college for a parking spot near an exterior outlet and see if they would designate the parking spot a charging zone for electric cars --- (most colleges are running electric vehicles in their maintenance departments).
If the speed requirement you describe is critical AND the one battery charging you may have a hard search.
