6 Volt Golf Cart Batteries

How to "recharge" golf cart batteries?
My trojan 8 volts recently started losing their charge. I have a charger that they are hooked up to everyday. Since letting some friends borrow it, they hadn't checked the water level in the batteries and I ended up adding about 4 gallons to all 6 batteries. Now the battery level light on the cart shows fully charged but drops to half battery life after about 30 minutes. I can play a full 18 holes and then some but fear the batteries may be damaged. I have read about adding epsom salt to "revamp" the batteries and my question is: Has anyone used this method or any other tricks like this...and if so.....how well did it work?
I've never heard of adding Epsom salt to batteries but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work. If I were you, I'd ask the cart maintenance guys at your golf course. If anybody can give you a good answer, they can.

compair two 12 volt deepcycle batteries parallel to two 6 volt golf cart batteries in series for R.V.?
It would depend on the CCA (cold cranking amps) of the batteries... find out the total combined CCA of the two pair, usually this information is stamped on the battery or on the battery tag, whichever pair has the higher CCA would be your best choice. The 12 volt set up will probably give at least 600 CCA per battery, I'm not sure of the 6 volt amp ratings.
